Walter Walker (April 3, 1883October 8, 1956) was a Democratic United States Senator from Colorado for less than 3 months in late 1932. He was appointed September 26, 1932 to fill the vacancy created by the death of Charles W. Waterman. He ran in the special election for the remainder of the term, but was defeated by Republican Karl C. Schuyler. Walker continued to serve until December 6, 1932, when Schuyler qualified for and assumed the seat. ==Personal life== Walter Walker was born in Marion, Kentucky in 1883. After attending public schools, he moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1903 where he worked in the newspaper business, becoming editor, manager, and chief owner of the Grand Junction ''Daily Sentinel''. He resumed the newspaper business after his electoral defeat, and served as a presidential elector on the Democratic ticket in 1936. He is interred in Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction.
